Northern Greece Launch of "E-nnovation" Competition

The International Hellenic University organised a highly successful event on "ICT: Market Trends and Employment Opportunities" on Wednesday, 22 February 2012. The audience was addressed by Dr. Ricardo-Baeza Yates (VP, Yahoo! Research, Spain), as well as speakers from Greek ICT companies such as Space Hellas, Intelen and Beta CAE. The Auditorium was full of ICT students from various Universities, young ICT professionals and the general public. The event offered attendants insights on promising career trends in the ICT sector as well as the skills that young professionals should aim to develop to remain competitive in the industry.

The event was concluded with the northern Greece launch of the “E-nnovation 2012” student competition which the International Hellenic University co-organizes with ELTRUN (Athens University of Economics and Business) and the University of Nicosia. Speakers included amongst others Mr. Tasos Tzikas, President of the Federation of Hellenic ICT Enterprises – SEPE, as well as teams of former IHU students who were awarded the 3rd place in last year’s competition. "E-nnovation" is a student entrepreneurship competition jointly organised by the International Hellenic University, ELTRUN (Athens University of Economics & Business) and the University of Nicosia. The list of speakers includes:Prof. I. Vlahavas (Dean School of Science and Technology, IHU), Mr A. Tzikas (President of the Federation of Hellenic ICT Enterprises - SEPE), Dr. A.
