Dr. Vassilios PolimenisProgramme: MSc in ICT Systems
His teaching and research interests are in the Valuation of illiquid assets, the use of Derivatives for risk Management, Corporate Finance, International Finance for Banking and Financial Institutions, and the Fixed Income, Credit Risk and Currency markets. He received his Doctorate in Finance from The Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania, holds graduate degrees in Finance and Computer Science and Engineering from The University of Pennsylvania, The University of California at Berkeley, and graduated at the top of his class from the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics of the University of Patras. Before returning to Greece, he taught finance as an Associate Professor at Pepperdine University, and before that as an Assistant professor at the Anderson Graduate School of Management, University of California. Dr Polimenis has received awards and fellowships for his excellence in research from institutions such as Lehman Brothers in New York, the Wharton Business School in Pennsylvania, and the University of California at Berkeley etc. Professionally, he has done consulting or worked for institutions such as Merrill Lynch, IBM, Digital Equipment Corp, and Delloitte & Touche. Dr Polimenis regularly serves as ad hoc referee for the top finance journals such as the Econometrica, Management Science, Quantitative Finance etc. |
