Dr. Nick Savage

Nick Savage is Principal Lecturer in communication networks and security at the University of Portsmouth in the UK.

Dr. Savage obtained a first-class honours degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering, a MA with Distinction in University Teaching and a PhD in Telecommunications from the University of Portsmouth. He also has a MSc in Mathematics from the Open University. His previous research on communication networks has been funded by OFCOM and EPSRC and has resulted in contributions to ITU recommendations. He has over 30 publications in journals and conference proceedings and serves as a referee for IET and Elsevier journals. He has also chaired computer networking sessions at conferences. He is currently supervising PhD students in the field of communication networks and security.

In terms of research recognition, he has given keynote speeches at conferences and he has been interviewed by national newspapers.

He is an Academic Advocate for Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and a Chartered Engineer.
