Dr. Dimitrios AnastaselosDr. Dimitrios Anastaselos was born in 1981 in Ioannina. He received the diploma of Mechanical Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2004.
He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (2009) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the field of sustainable built environment. He is currently an adjunct lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Western Macedonia, Greece, where he teaches the “Energy Design of Buildings” course. He has been working as a research associate in the Laboratory of Heat Transfer and Environmental Engineering (LHTEE) of the Mechanical Engineering Department in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from 2002 and has participated in more than fifteen (15) European and National Research and Development projects. His main research interests are in the area of the Sustainable Built Environment with emphasis on the energy design, simulation and efficiency of buildings, the integrated evaluation of building materials, thermal insulation solutions and buildings, and the sustainable demolition and renovation waste management. He has co-supervised seventeen (17) dissertations in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Aristotle University. He is the author of several papers published in journals and conference proceedings. |
