Scholarship Opportunity for ICT Graduate Studies Through Collaboration Between SEPVE and the International Hellenic University

In the framework of fostering collaboration between the academic community and third parties, such as organizations and companies, the School of Science & Technology of the International Hellenic University and SEPVE have signed a memorandum of collaboration. Through this memorandum both parties set forth a permanent channel of communication, exchange of know-how and mutual support which will materialize through a number of actions in mutually benefiting areas.
In this context, the International Hellenic University will offer 1 full scholarship for its October 2014 intake concerning its MSc in ICT Systems programme to a candidate from a company-member of SEPVE. This opportunity involves both employees as well as their children. The application process for the MSc in ICT Systems will be ongoing until October 16th.

The power of Big Data Analytics: Prospects, Skills and Opportunities
The International Hellenic University and the School of Science & Technology organised a very successful event on "The power of Big Data Analytics: Prospects, Skills and Opportunities" on Wednesday, 26 February 2014. The audience was addressed by Prof. M. Vazirgiannis (Professor in LIX, Ecole Polytechnique) who focused on Big Graph Mining, Mr N. Molfetas (Server Business Group Lead, Microsoft Hellas) and Mr G. Bourmas (Master Principal sales consultant and Engineered Systems Specialist, Oracle Hellas S.A) who shared business insights in the area of big data analytics.
The audience comprised students, young researchers and staff from various Universities and their level of interest in the topic was high, as evidenced by the large number of questions at the end.
The event was successfully coordinated by Assist. Prof. C. Tjortjis of the International Hellenic University.
